Motivation
human factors

Knowing that I can help a person to have a better quality of life is a wonderful feeling and motivates me to pursue my medical profession every day anew.

From personal experiences to game-changing therapy concepts

I experienced first-hand how both of my parents developed type 2 diabetes in middle age.

During my parents’ disease, I realized early that the conventional medical treatment available at that time did little to improve their condition.

With my background as a doctor and chemist, I have critically scrutinized the current therapeutic approaches. This experience led me to intensively study the physiological and biochemical metabolic processes in the body in order to better understand the causes of the various forms of diabetes and to develop targeted therapies – far beyond simply controlling blood sugar.

My interdisciplinary knowledge gave rise to four innovative therapeutic approaches: personalized diabetes treatment (SOC+) and the ReNew, ReStore and RePair therapies.

My vision

As a professor, speaker, author and editor, I pave innovative ways for better treatment concepts “for metabolic diseases”

My vision is to use innovative research and personalized therapies to improve sick people’s quality of life.

Influenced by the drastic experiences with my parents’ disease, I am committed to actively driving medical progress and comprehensively researching the causes and individual treatment options for diabetes mellitus and other metabolic diseases.

In various roles, I carry my vision to the outside world in order to deepen the understanding of personalized therapies and make lasting changes to treatment concepts.

As a professor, I train the next generation of physicians, communicate the latest scientific findings and promote interdisciplinary research.

As a speaker at international congresses, I share my current research findings and practical experiences with colleagues in order to promote exchange and the development of new approaches.

As an author and editor, I help to disseminate the latest scientific findings and educate the public and professionals about the urgency and potential of individualized diabetes treatments.

What gives me strength and motivation?

Time with my family.

I am a family person through and through.
Spending time with my family is particularly important to me and gives me the necessary balance to my many professional commitments. Joint activities and the support of my loved ones are essential for me.

Time in nature.

One of my great passions is fishing.
For me, fishing offers the perfect opportunity to completely unwind and experience nature in all its facets. It's an activity that relaxes me and allows me to clear my mind.

Time for me.

Another passion of mine is sailing. .
I am fascinated by the perfect combination of nature, technology and freedom. Being driven only by the wind, reading the wind and weather and being in harmony with the boat gives me a feeling of complete independence and serenity.
